Mosaic Art and Jewellery
Mosaic Art uses hand cut material (tesserae) to create art on a substrate or base. The earrings and pendants are made from recycled vintage crockery. Everything is cut by hand using a variety of nippers, cutters and grinders to create the shape and size of each piece.
The jewellery uses Stainless steel and hypoallergenic earring hooks and the pendant cords are adjustable
My work stems from some of my passions – rocks, minerals and gems and reusing found materials. I often use recycled picture frames; stained glass offcuts given to me by a glass artist; and some precious old plates and cups.
