Jade Studio Residencies

BMCAC has a number of yurts on the premises. The Jade yurt is available as a studio for residential artist rental. Applications should be made with the form below.

The Jade yurt has a floor space of approximately 45sq metres, and is suitable for up to 3 artists. Residencies may be shared, and are available for three or six months. 
The rental rate is $120 per week negotiable. Bond is 4 weeks rental.

Resident artists have use of the premises 24 hrs. The print room and pottery studios are also available for use when not in use by classes. The main room has a kitchen which is also available.

Residents must pay a bond and regular weekly rental fee. Residents are responsible for any damages to the yurt or BMCAC premises or property. 

At the end of the residency, artists are able to use the main exhibition hall to hold their own exhibition. Room hire is free.

Artists will be entirely responsible for their own exhibition. This includes:

• Advertising
• Invitations
• Setting up
• Food
• Manning the room

The Centre will take 20% commission on all sales.
