The Blue Mountains Creative Arts Centre Inc., Glenbrook, is a non-profit community-based organization run by volunteers. Situated in Hare Street, Glenbrook, it has been operating since early 1970's with the aim of fostering and teaching arts and crafts within the community.

Since inception Derivan has been committed to providing the arts community with the world’s finest-quality artist acrylic colours and mediums. The company’s founders had a vision “to make Australian-made premium paint available to artists worldwide while remaining environmentally and socially responsible”. This was to be achieved while maintaining the quality and personal touch that only a family company can provide. We have succeeded in just that, and Derivan has grown from a tiny affair first registered in 1958 as Vynol Paints Pty Ltd and operating out of stables in Sydney’s inner city suburb of Kings Cross to the multinational operation it is today.
Derwent have been manufacturing pencils in the Lake District UK for almost two centuries dating back to 1832. With years of know-how packed into every pencil and art tool, our creative and scientific minds never cease in their quest for new ideas. Obsessing over the highest quality of materials and forever creating an ever evolving and exceptional range to meet the requirements of every artist. The Annual Blue Mountains Art Prize is held in October each year and draws entries from artists in fine arts, pottery, mosaics, printmaking, life drawing and other creative activities.
